PC-RP-Log: Joseph and Sera in the rain

Joseph's clothes were folded against a tree, the mawile who's normally clad in them instead in a pair of trunks, swimming in the lake, enjoying the hot summer day....even if it was a bit cloudy, he wasn't going to sit inside all day!

Sera was strolling along the bank of the lake, watching the water as she walked. Soon, she noticed a person in the water. They were too far to see who it was, but as she continued, she saw that it was Joseph swimming.

Joseph's maw spits up some water as the Mawile attached to it waves to Sera. "Hoi! Lovely day for a swim! Wanna join me?" he asks cheerfully, ignoring the sky and instead focusing on the warm weather and the fact he actually has friends here in Poket now!

"A-ah, I don't think I have my swimsuit...!" She called back, "I-I guess I can come in a little if I don't get my dress wet..." Sera hesitantly took her backpack off and set it under the same tree

Joseph had left his clothes under. She approached the water, then took little steps into the lake. "I-it's a little cold, isn't it..." she commented as she stepped a little further in.

Joseph swam over to Sera and stood, walking over to her. "Been a while since we last saw eachother. How have you been holding up?" he asks with a smile, his Maw seeming to be just as happy as he is.

"Y-yes, it's been a while... I've been good... um, how have you been?" Sera smiled back as she returned the question.

Joseph shrugs. "I've just been fixing my home up. carpets, furniture, stocking up the fridge...that sorta stuff." he pauses as thunder rumbles in the sky. "We...should probably step out of the water..." he mumbles as he backpedals.

"O-oh, yes..." She quickly walked out of the water, "Um... sorry... A-about your house, I was supposed to help... I'm sorry."

Joseph shakes his head with a smile as he walks over to his tree, grabbing his towel out from his clothes. "It's fine, Sera. I didn't want to inconvenience you if you were busy." he starts to dry himself off before a drop of water hits the lake...then another...and within a minute or two, it's starting to gently rain, though the thunder seems to forshadow worse. "let's head to my place, I wanna show you anyway." he picks up his clothes and readies himself to run, waiting for Sera to get her bag though

Sera walked up behind him and picked up her backpack, hugging it tightly as she also readied herself to run for shelter. "O-okay, I'll follow you..."

Joseph sprints off, not bothering to redress as the rain quickly picks up, quickly soaking the pair as the rush to Joseph's modest little house, and with a quick opening of the door by Joseph's Maw, the pair enter his rather plain looking home, sopping wet. the colors of the home seem to be mostly off-whites and brown carpeting or wood tiles. below the TV is a fire-place which Joseph is quick to turn on before running to the bathroom to drop off his wet clothes and towel himself off. he exits with a towel around his waist. "Umm...Sera, feel free to towel off. leave your things in the bath-tub or the sink...I'll leave something dry by the door, but I dunno if it will fit..." he mumbles the last part before entering his bedroom and closing the door

"Ah, thank you... I-it's fine if they don't fit..." Sera went to the bathroom, shivering. She mopped up the water that dripped on the floor before drying herself and taking off her previously-soaking dress to hang on the edge of the bathtub. Once Joseph had left them for her, she put on dry clothes, a shirt and a pair of pants, both clearly a size or two too large for her. Still, they were warm. Sera walked out to the main room, "Th-thank you again for letting me borrow your clothes..."

Joseph nods, wearing a red hoodie, Grey baggy pants, and white socks, patting the spot next to him as he sat by the fire, still shivering a bit. "No Problem S-Sera....i-if you need a belt, I-I'll go get one for you....o-otherwise, get comfortable...I-I'll make us some cocoa...brr..." he shivers a bit, not very fond of rain.

"Th-thanks... i-if you don't mind, a belt would help..." Sera smiled nervously, tugging at her pants that were threatening to fall off.

Joseph nods, getting up and returning with a cloth belt. "There. wouldn't want my guest for feel embarrassed or anything." he leans in and kisses her cheek as he hands her the belt before walking off to the kitchen....he then freezes up and blushes. "Oh Gosh, I jus-Oh Arceus..." he starts stammering out in embarrassment as what he did finally catches up to him.

Sera turned bright red as the mawile kissed her. She barely noticed him give her the belt, or that he walked away. She stood frozen, still trying to process what had just happened. "Um... umm..." she tried to say something, but the words wouldn't come. Sera was at a loss, completely flustered by that one small action.

Joseph returns with a couple mugs of hot cocoa, setting one next to Sera, who seems to be out of it. "Oh Arcues, I'm so sorry, Sera....are you alright?" he asks in concern, hoping he hasn't scared his new friend too much.

"U-um, I-I think... I-I don't really... Ummm...” Sera stammered, unsure of what to say.

Joseph frowns and offers a hug. "I'm really sorry, Sera...I...I tend to act without thinking...I...I really do mean well, but I tend to get a bit...touchy I guess...Please don't hate me..."

"A-ah... um... I-I'm sorry... I-I just... um, I-I don't know... how to react... um... I'm sorry... I-I don't hate you..." Sera nervously returned the hug while stammering out a reply.

Joseph gently holds her close, nuzzling her cheek. "Thank you...just...relax now I guess...we'll just wait out the storm together...umm...anything I can...do for you while you're here?"

"U-um... I-I can't think of anything... Th-thank you, though...

"Sorry....if I came off like a creep..." he mutters before a sudden burst of loud thunder causes the Mawile to cling to her, his fur on-end. it takes a moment for him to register that he's doing it again and flinches away, stammering apologies again.

"N-no... You didn't.... " She murmured, "I-I'm sorry... Y-you can hug me if you want... y-you just surprised me earlier..."

Joseph pauses, then smiles a bit. "Y-You mean it?...I...thank you..." he snuggles close to her, hugging her waist as they wait the storm out....they probably lost power a while ago, but it didn't matter...they had the fire and eachother~
